A Variety of Treatment Techniques May be Included in Your Care
Each client is assessed and a treatment program is designed for their unique presentation of pain and loss of function. The program is then discussed with the client and the rational for the treatment explained. These treatment techniques may include:

Manual Therapy

  • Joint mobilization and manipulation
  • Muscle and soft tissue massage and release techniques, including myofascial release and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)
  • Stretching techniques
  • Nerve tissue mobilization
  • Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation techniques (PNF)

Exercise Therapy/ Prescription

  •   Customized muscle strengthening and stretching programs
  •   Core stabilization
  •   Muscle balancing/ postural correction exercises•
  •   Physical reconditioning
  •   Functional exercise/workplace training and conditioning
  •   Pre-hab and post-op exercise and rehabilitation programs (e.g. joint replacement)

Acupuncture/Dry Needling:

  • Trigger point needling


  • Support taping
  • Stimulation tape/ K taping

Other Modalities:   

  • Heat
  • Ice
  • Ultrasound


  • Work activity modifications
  • Posture correction
  • Injury prevention
  • Home exercise and home program soft tissue techniques
  • Informational hand-outs (eg Heat or Ice)
  • Education regarding health promotion through exercise and activity
